You Should Not Miss Raid If You Liked These 7 Bollywood Movies

In recent times, Bollywood has tasted success with movies based on real incidents and that doesn't seem to be ending. The more they dig into our vast history, the more incidents they find to make movies about. Every year we see more and more biopics about popular sportsmen, actors and even brave people who lost their lives in the service of our country. This week we are all set to see Ajay Devgn in Raid which is a fictional representation of  IT Commissioner Sharda Prashad Pandey who raided the house of businessman Sardar Inder Singh in 1981. You should add Raid to your must-watch list if you liked any of the below seven movies.
1. Special 26
Considered one of the biggest cons, this movie is based on a true story. Here the characters use an IT raid to loot unsuspecting people. Set in the same decade as Raid, this movie offers the closest clue to everything you can expect in Raid.

2. Shootout at Lokhandwala
Like Ajay Devgn in Raid, the police undertook a task in the 90s to get rid of organized crime on the streets of Mumbai once and for all, starting with Maya Dolas and his family. Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, this fast-paced movie was certainly one of the first few movies based on a true story and it did give a big boost to the genre.

3. The Attacks of 26/11
This 2013 movie was based on the 2008 attacks and directed by Ram Gopal Verma. The movie managed to cover the horror of the attacks along with the brilliant manner in which the police and the army worked to end the ordeal.

4. No One Killed Jessica
Jessica's death shook the nation and it was through the power of journalism and people that the courts re-opened the case and she was served justice. The movie perfectly captures the power of people coming together for a cause.

5. Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai
Raid is not the first time Ajay Devgn is playing a character inspired from our history. He played Sultan Mirza (based on Haji Mastan) in Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai and we still quote his dialogues today. We can expect Raid to pack a similar punch.
6. Airlift
They say that you know a man's true character in the time of trouble. Airlift proves that quote for you, as a man named Ranjit Katyal who during Iraq's invasion of Kuwait had a safe passage but chose to stay back and transport all the Indians in need.

7. Firaaq
Firaaq takes place during the 2002 violence in Gujarat and follows the lives of several ordinary people who were victims and perpetrators of this violence. It shows how their lives changed after this incident.

Did you like any of these movies? If you did, you shouldbook your tickets for Raid now. Stay tuned for more news and our review of the movie.
