Your knowledge of Bangladesh could win you Tk1 crore
Private television channel Independent TV has announced a quiz show called “Bangladesh Jiggasha” on the topic of the achievements, successes, and failures in Bangladesh’s 47 years of independence.
M Shamsur Rahman, CEO and editor-in-chief of Independent TV, and Shah A Sarwar, managing director and CEO of IFIC Bank, jointly made the announcement in Dhaka on Thursday.
According to the organizers the quiz show is set to air from October 12 on every Friday and Saturday at 10pm.
Any Bangladeshi citizen aged 18 or above can register online. Beginning on September 19, registration process will end on September 27.
Each episode of “Bangladesh Jiggasha” will entitle participants to different sums of prize money. All the awards, put together, will amount to Tk1.77 crore.
The champion will receive Tk1 crore, first runner-up Tk25 lakh. The second and third runner-ups will receive Tk15 and Tk5 lakh respectively. Each semi-finalist will get Tk2 lakh and each quarter finalist Tk1 lac.
Second round qualifiers will get Tk 50,000 each, and first round qualifiers Tk 25,000 each.
In addition, the spectators will also receive attractive gifts.

Candidates who complete the online round successfully, will be qualified for the divisional round of the quiz.
A total of 64 participants, eight from each division, will qualify for the “Bangladesh Jiggasha” stage.
