By publishing a new FIFA game every year, it is always the question with which innovations EA will come up for the newest part. Also this year there are quite a few improvements waiting for us in FIFA 19. In the demo some adjustments are noticeable, but the full game promises many more novelties and refinements. To soften the wait for the release (or even make it more painful ...), we have already put together the six most promising additions for you!
More control and creativity with Active Touch

In FIFA 19 the ball contact has gone completely on the shovel and now you get a lot more freedom and control when hitting, moving and playing the ball. For example, numerous new animations have been added so that you can give each ball contact a personal touch. For example, with a subtle tap against the right poker, you can raise the ball when you take it up, or you can perform a smooth feint to guide defenders around the garden. Just like in real football, it's the small, nuanced moves that make the difference and with the new Active Touch system that feeling is perfectly imitated in FIFA 19!

Ultimate Finisher: Timed Finishing

Last year FIFA 18 introduced the powerful low shot with the instep, which you used by pressing the shoot button twice. That quickly turned out to be a little too tricky, so in FIFA 19 it is slightly modified. Now a well-timed second press of the button can strengthen your shot and make it even more focused. If you are sitting next to your timing, then you have a greater chance that the ball will go next to it. You can use the Timed Finisher on any type of ball: header, volley, placed shot or even a kick! Using the Timed Finisher is always a small risk, but if you have a good grip (or foot), this will certainly work to your advantage.
Kick off with special rules and keep track of your mutual scores!

The Kick-Off or Kick-off mode is one of the most popular modes and in FIFA 19 it has been decked out with new features. There are several new game types, you can play a cup final for example the Champions League or Europa League and it is now possible to keep statistics by linking your account; ideal to finally find out who is the true FIFA king of yours and your friends!

What we secretly run the warmest for is the new house rules. Take, for example, the Survival mode in which for each goal a player of the scoring team is removed from the field, or simply choose "anything goes" in which you can be sidelined so often or kick ankle if you want. For example, there are many more adapted rules that will provide a lot of refreshment and (sneaky) fun.


Put the game to your hand with dynamic tactics

In FIFA 19, tactics are both easier to apply and deeper, which is good news for both passionate strategists and players who prefer to focus on the game itself. Before the game, you can now easily create different tactics and tweak your defensive and offensive strategies into small points with handy sliders. You then couple these to the buttons of your D-pad, so you can quickly switch strategy during the game without having to open the pause menu.

If you switch tactics, you will notice the effects immediately. Players obviously put more pressure, or make shorter passes if you bet on ball possession. Pay attention, because your opponent will certainly stand out, and this can for example again use a counter strategy. Every tactic in FIFA 19 can be undermined with an effective counter strategy. And yes, that also applies to parked buses!


UEFA Champions League and Europa League in FIFA!

The chaaaaampions! We do not really get much further than these two words, but that does not stop us from rallying the Champions League hymn - and that will be possible in FIFA 19 from this year as well!

The Champions League is also not just a game type in FIFA 19, but is fully commented on and is even processed in the story mode The Journey, the kick-off mode, the career mode and yes, also in Ultimate Team. From the group stages to the final in the Wanda Metropolitano stadium in Madrid - and from the glorious music to the uniforms - the Champions League promises to be a fantastic addition to FIFA 19. And let us not forget the smaller brother of the CL because the Europa League is also strongly represented in FIFA 19!


FIFA Ultimate Team: Knock yourself up in Division Rivals

FIFA Ultimate Team is easily the most popular mode and with FIFA 19 it should be more accessible than ever. In the new mode Division Rivals you place yourself on the basis of a number of placement competitions in a certain division. Every week in Division Rivals includes a full competition and rewards await you in the form of FUT Coins and Packs at the end. Of course there are better rewards at higher ranks, so you do well to fight yourself to a higher division!

Also useful: while you climb up in the ranks, you also take steps closer to the Weekend League. Your performance in Division Rivals will earn you points that can be redeemed for a Weekend League qualification. This also includes thirty matches instead of forty, starting from FIFA 19, so from now on you also have time to wash and eat properly on weekends.

The above is only a small selection of all promised innovations in FIFA 19.
